Terms of Trade
These Terms of Trade apply to every trade account with Australian Sporting Agencies and to every order placed with us, on the website, by email or by phone.
Australian Sporting Agencies Pty Ltd (ABN 27 619 435 200, Dealers Licence 50001623) of Unit 3, 88–92 Quanda Road, Coolum Beach QLD 4573 is called ASA, we or us. The business that holds the account is called you or the dealer.
You accept these terms by ticking the Terms of Trade box when you apply for an account, and again each time you place an order. A 30-day trade account is also bound by the Application for Credit Account; where the two differ, the Application for Credit Account applies.
This version applies from 3 November 2026.
1. Who may open an account
- ASA is a wholesaler. We sell only to businesses and shooting ranges, and we do not trade directly with the public.
- To apply, you must give your business name, ABN, contact details and delivery address. If your business deals in firearms or other licensed goods, you must also upload a copy of your current dealer licence.
- We approve or decline applications at our discretion and do not have to give reasons. Your account is active only once we email you that it is approved.
- New accounts are prepaid: each order is paid in full before it is dispatched. You can apply for a 30-day trade account (section 5) using the Application for Credit Account.
- You must tell us in writing within 7 days if your business name, ABN, ownership, address or licence changes, or if a licence is suspended, cancelled or expires.
2. Orders
- You can order on our website once logged in, or by email or phone to our sales team.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch the goods or confirm the order in writing.
- Stock levels on the website are a guide and can change before your order is processed. If part of an order is out of stock, we may send what is available and backorder the rest.
- We may refuse or cancel an order, in full or in part, at any time before dispatch. This includes where a price or description is wrong, stock is not available, your account is on hold, or the requirements in section 10 are not met. If you have already paid for cancelled goods, we refund or credit that amount.
- You may cancel an order only before it is dispatched, by contacting us. Special orders and pre-orders cannot be cancelled once we have ordered them from our supplier.
3. Prices and GST
- Trade prices are shown on the website excluding GST, and only to logged-in, approved accounts.
- GST at 10% is added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
- The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order. We may change prices at any time without notice; a change does not affect an order we have already accepted.
- Our trade prices are confidential. You must not show or publish them to the public.
4. Payment
- We accept:
- credit or debit card at checkout;
- bank transfer (EFT) to the account shown at checkout and on your invoice;
- Pay on account, for approved 30-day trade accounts only (section 5).
- Prepaid accounts pay every order in full before it is dispatched.
- Bank transfers must quote your order number as the reference. An order paid by bank transfer is held, and is not dispatched, until the funds reach our account. If payment has not arrived 7 days after the order, we may cancel it.
- A payment counts only when cleared funds reach our account. Payments are applied to your oldest unpaid invoice first.
- If a card payment is reversed (a chargeback), the amount and any bank fees become payable at once and your account is placed on hold.
5. Trade accounts and payment terms
- Approved trade accounts pay 30 days nett from the invoice date. Payment must reach our account by the due date on the invoice.
- Every account is on one of the payment terms below. We set the terms for each account and may change them by written notice. Longer terms (Net 45 or Net 60) are given only in writing, for a promotion or by agreement, and apply only to the orders named in that offer.
| Terms | Payment due | When we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Prepaid | In full before dispatch | New accounts; accounts on stop credit |
| Net 0 | On the invoice date | By agreement |
| Net 5 | 5 days after the invoice date | Accounts moved to short terms after late payment |
| Net 15 | 15 days after the invoice date | Accounts moved to short terms after late payment |
| Net 30 | 30 days after the invoice date | Standard trade account |
| Net 45 | 45 days after the invoice date | Promotions or written agreement |
| Net 60 | 60 days after the invoice date | Promotions or written agreement |
- Each trade account has a credit limit set by us. An order that takes your balance over the limit must be paid before it is dispatched.
- If an invoice is not paid by its due date:
- the account goes on credit hold: we do not dispatch any order until the overdue amount is paid;
- a late fee is added to the overdue amount, rising each week it stays unpaid, as set out in the late fee table at the end of this section;
- you must pay our costs of recovering the debt, including collection agency and legal fees.
- While an account is on credit hold, ordered goods not yet dispatched are held for 48 hours. If the hold is not cleared by then, the goods are released for supply to other dealers.
- Accounts that trade outside their terms are put on stop credit. After repeated late payment, we may move the account to shorter terms or to Prepaid.
- Accounts with no orders for 12 months are reviewed and may be moved to Prepaid or suspended.
- Promotional offers with extended payment terms carry the terms written on the promotion. Ask your sales representative or our head office for details.
Late fee table. Week 1 is days 1–7 after the due date. The fee shown is the total late fee at that point, as a percentage of the overdue amount; it is not added on top of the previous week’s fee. After week 13 the fee keeps rising by the same 1.4 percentage points a week as from week 12 to 13 (week 14: 20.9%, week 15: 22.3%, and so on).
| Weeks overdue | Late fee (% of the overdue amount) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 4.5% |

| 3 | 5.5% |
| 4 | 6.9% |

| 9 | 13.9% |
| 10 | 15.3% |
| 11 | 16.7% |
| 12 | 18.1% |
| 13 | 19.5% |
6. Freight and delivery
- Freight is a flat $37 plus GST ($40.70 including GST) per order, whatever its size. Backordered items from the same order are sent without further freight.
- We choose the carrier and the delivery method. We follow all government, state and carrier rules for transporting firearms, ammunition and dangerous goods, so some goods need a particular carrier or take longer.
- We deliver only to your business address on the account. Firearms and other licensed goods are delivered only to licensed premises, and a signature may be required.
- Delivery dates are estimates. We are not liable for delays.
- Contact us if you need more information on freight or transport rules.
7. Risk and ownership
- Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to your address or collected.
- Ownership of the goods stays with ASA until you have paid everything you owe us, on every invoice.
- Until then you hold the goods for us. You may sell them in the normal course of your business, but you hold the proceeds of that sale for ASA up to the amount you owe us.
- If you do not pay on time, you allow us to enter any premises where the goods are kept to take them back.
- These terms create a security interest in the goods and their proceeds under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth). We may register it on the Personal Property Securities Register, and you must sign any document we need for that. You waive your right to receive a verification statement, and any other notice under that Act that can be waived.
8. Damage, shortages and returns
- Inspect the goods when they arrive. Tell us in writing within 7 days of delivery about any damage, shortage or wrong item, with photos of any damage. After 7 days the goods are treated as accepted.
- Every return needs our approval first. Request a return authorisation (RMA) with the invoice number and date of purchase. We may refuse goods sent back without one.
- You pay the freight on an approved return. Where we sent the wrong goods or too few, or the goods were damaged in transit, we arrange and pay for the return.
- We credit returned goods only if they are in saleable condition, complete and in their original unmarked packaging.
- A restocking fee of 20% of the returned items’ value (excluding GST) applies to every approved return that is not our error.
- Special orders, pre-orders and clearance goods cannot be returned. Firearms and other licensed goods can be returned only with the transfer paperwork the law requires.
- Credits are applied to your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
9. Warranty
- Products carry their manufacturer’s warranty. ASA handles warranty claims for the products we distribute through our RMA process.
- To claim, contact us with the invoice number, serial number and a description of the fault. Do not send goods back until we have issued an RMA.
- The warranty does not cover misuse, accidents, normal wear, unauthorised repairs or modification.
- If we accept a claim, we repair, replace or credit the product, at our choice.
- Any promise you make to your own customers beyond the manufacturer’s warranty is your responsibility.
10. Firearms and regulated goods
- You must hold every licence, permit and registration the law requires for the goods you order, in each state where you operate, and keep them current.
- Before we dispatch firearms or other regulated goods, we may ask for a copy of your licence, a permit to acquire or any other document the law requires. We do not dispatch until we have received and checked it.
- You must comply with all laws when you store, sell and transfer the goods, including checking that your own customers are licensed.
- We may refuse, hold or cancel any order we believe would breach the law, and we report to the authorities where the law requires.
- Goods are sold for use and resale in Australia only. You must not export them without the permits the law requires.
11. Online account
- Each website login is personal to one person. You are responsible for every order placed under your account, by any of your users.
- Keep passwords secure. Tell us at once if a login is misused or if someone with a login leaves your business.
- We may suspend website access at any time, including for maintenance.
12. Liability
- Our liability for any goods is limited, at our choice, to repairing or replacing them, or refunding or crediting their price.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost sales or business interruption.
- We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events outside our control, including supplier delays, carriers, government action and natural events.
- You indemnify ASA against any claim, loss or cost arising from your breach of these terms or of any firearms law.
13. Privacy and licence documents
- We collect your business and contact details, your licence details and copies, and your order and payment history. We use them to run your account, check that you may buy regulated goods, and meet our legal obligations.
- We keep this information in our business systems: our website, inventory and accounting systems. We share it only with carriers, payment providers, credit reporting agencies (for trade accounts) and government authorities where the law requires.
- To see or correct the information we hold about you, email accounts@australiansportingagencies.com.
14. Changes, suspension and closing an account
- We may change these terms by publishing a new version on our website. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. We email account holders about significant changes.
- We may suspend or close an account at any time, including for late payment, a breach of these terms, a lapsed licence or inactivity.
- You may close your account by writing to us. Everything you owe us becomes due at once when an account closes.
15. General
- These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
- These terms, any Application for Credit Account and any written promotion are the whole agreement between us. Terms on your own purchase orders do not apply.
- If any clause cannot be enforced, it is removed and the rest of these terms still apply.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- We send notices to the email address on your account. Send notices to us at accounts@australiansportingagencies.com.
